Coming from the US border:*
Keep on the same road right into the city until you come to West
12th Avenue where you turn left. Travel west on 12th Avenue
until MacDonald Street & turn right. Continue north on
MacDonald Street until 6th Avenue (there is a flashing
pedestrian controlled crossing here) & turn left. We are
half a block on the right hand side, a bright blue heritage
house.
IN THE SUMMER MONTHS, it is faster to take Meridien north from
the Bellis Fair Exit on I5 just north of Bellingham and go
through the Lyndon Border Crossing, continuing north on Hwy
264th to Hwy 1 (Trans Canada Hwy) then turning west and taking
the Grandview exit and following the directions from Highway 1 (
directions below ) to Penny Farthing. This way you miss both the
hold -up on the Peace Arch Border Crossing and at the Massey
Tunnel at rush hour.
Coming from Vancouver International Airport: Drive straight
out and across the bridge taking the first exit off the bridge
to Granville Street. Continue north and follow the instructions
above from *.
Coming from Victoria Ferry: Follow signs to Hwy 99 north &
take the Vancouver exit into the city and then follow the
instructions above from *.
Coming from the Nanaimo Ferry at Horseshoe Bay or from
Whistler: Take the Upper Levels Hwy east and exit at Taylor
Way towards Vancouver. Follow signs to the city over the Lions
Gate bridge and through Stanley Park. Avoid the rush hour
periods! They are from 8 - 9am and 3.30 - 6pm. Drive east on
West Georgia, which is where Stanley Park exits, to Burrard
Street where you will turn right. Stay on Burrard Street heading
south over the Burrard Street Bridge and, keeping right, take
the road along the waterfront onto West Point Grey Road. West
Point Grey Road turns into Cornwall Avenue - stay on this Avenue
until you reach Macdonald Street where you will turn left.
Travel 6 blocks and turn right onto West 6th Avenue, where we
are half a block on the right hand side - a bright blue heritage
house.
Coming from Highway 1 (The Trans Canada Highway): Exit at
Grandview and stay on this road which turns into East 12th
Avenue and eventually turns into West 12th Avenue. It is a long
road. Go straight through the Arbutus Street traffic signal and
at the next traffic light turn right onto Macdonald Street.
Travel a few blocks & turn left onto West 6th Avenue - we
are half a block on the right hand side, a bright blue heritage
house.
